Powerful and romantic at the same time can describe one of Austria’s most attractive natural monuments: the Golling Waterfall. The fabulously beautiful forest that surrounds it and the nearby late Gothic pilgrimage church of St. Nicholas also fascinate parents and children alike. An excursion destination almost too good to be true.
In Torren, a district of Golling, the waterfall roars into the valley. Its 76-metre drop makes it not only a spectacular sight, but also one of the highest waterfalls in Salzburg. You can easily reach the idyllically situated waterfall via a forest path. Stairs lead further on to the spring. The refreshing natural spectacle is ideal for a hot summer day with the whole family.
