Karkogel Abtenau
Fast-paced toboggan run with a view
In Abtenau, tobogganing fun is also the order of the day in the warmer months. From the Karkogel at the foot of the Tennengebirge, the summer toboggan run takes you down into the valley. The Karkogel gondola lift takes you up to an altitude of almost 1,200 metres. Before the tobogganing fun starts, you should definitely enjoy the magnificent view. The Karkogel is also the ideal starting point for hikes and walks.
Shooting sections, inclined sections, curves and tunnels make the 2 km long summer toboggan run an experience for the whole family. The little ones toboggan in a double pack with an adult so that they get safely down to the valley. From there it is best to go straight back up to the Karkogel – for another round of tobogganing or a walk to the Karalm, where you will be rewarded with Salzburg delicacies.
