Postalm Panorama Road
The way to the alp is the goal
Austria’s largest and Europe’s second largest contiguous alpine pasture area, the Postalm, is more than worth a visit. The many paths along lush meadows, past grazing cows and delicate flowers let you discover something new again and again. Or simply shift down a gear for a change. Even the journey along the 28.5 km long panoramic road is an experience in itself.
The Postalm Road starts from Abtenau or Strobl into the hiker’s paradise and connects the Lammertal with the Salzkammergut. If you are travelling by convertible or motorbike, you will already get a taste of the dreamlike view and fresh mountain air along the way. In addition to family-friendly circular hikes, the Postalm landscape conservation area is also known for its rustic huts.
