The aim of the non-profit association, which is organized on a voluntary basis, is to promote a general understanding of culture in the Tennengau and Salzburger Land. Among other things, the Tennengauer Kunstkreis regularly organizes exhibitions, lectures, readings and art trips.

In addition, the association offers artists from the region a forum to present their work and thus draw attention to themselves. During school hours, there is also a weekly nude drawing course under the direction of Professor Josef Zenzmaier, which offers the opportunity to become artistically active oneself.
